About AME

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a job oriented branch of Engineering discipline. AME training consists of Theoretical study and Practical training of 2400 hours of rigorous training (Including operational aircraft training) in a DGCA approved AME college. Thereafter, you can take up apprenticeship in an airline or Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO). Apprentices are normally paid as per Government rules. Thereafter, one undergoes specific aircraft course sponsored by the airline. Presently, an AME qualified on a Boeing 737 or Airbus 320 gets about Rs. 2,00,000/- per month. He is also entitled to complimentary air tickets, medical and other benefits as per norms in most airlines. He leads a decent life, stays in top hotels, come across educated air travellers and enjoys the glamour of being in an airline technical staff.

The aircraft is required to be maintained and certified by a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Both, Pilots and AME are required to have license from DGCA.

During the course you are required to appear and pass AME Module examinations which are conducted by DGCA, Government of India. We have best results in DGCA license examination for the last twelve years. Result in DGCA license examination, conducted in Modules, is key to getting employment after the training.
